When it comes to traveling, there are hundreds of destinations around the world you can visit. Some places are better suited for kids, some are better for adventure, but sometimes, you just want to go somewhere you can just sit back, relax and enjoy the view. Whether it be a beach, the mountains, or perhaps even a safari. With that said, here are some of the best destinations if you’re looking to just take a break from everyday life.

Navagio Beach, Greece

Located in what was once referred to as a “smuggler’s cove,” Navagio Beach is a beautiful destination if you’re looking to hide away for a while. Navagio translates to “shipwreck” and while that might be the first thing to grab your attention, the crystal clear water and soft white sand will steal your heart. The cove is so secluded that the only way to get there is by air or sea, which adds much more to your overall experience if that’s what you’re looking for. Located in the Ionian islands of Greece, this gorgeous beach is the perfect island getaway.

Nordfjord, Norway

If you’re looking for something in the mountains, look no further than Nordfjord. Mountains, glaciers, waterfalls, and more, Nordjford is considered one of the most popular destinations in Norway. By taking a two-hour tour, you’ll get to see Norweigan nature in all of its Glory. At the eastern end of Nordfjord, you’ll see glaciers scattered throughout valleys, until you come across Hornindalsvatnet, Europe’s deepest lake. As you journey further into the fjord, you’ll see that it becomes much wider until you get to the west end, where it opens out to the sea, and you can experience more of the coastal culture.

Rio Celeste Falls, Costa Rica

If you’re more of a jungle person, Rio Celeste Falls might be the perfect destination for you. The waterfall is known for its gorgeous blue color, almost unlike any other waterfall in the world. The falls are located in Tenorio Volcano National Park, and the bright colors of the water are actually a reaction from the volcanic chemicals in the water. Combining the gorgeous water with the tropical backdrop, and the location feels almost magical. Unfortunately visitors prohibited from swimming in the waters, but there are still plenty of opportunities for photos as well as just relaxing near the falls in order to soak it all in.

While everyday life can be daunting, the world is full of so many magical destinations that can provide you with the perfect relaxing getaway you may need. A small amount of them have been covered here but you can find so many more beyond these.  Go out there and get the rest and relaxation you deserve.
